How to Lose Weight in a Week
It is possible to lose some weight in a matter of seven days. But to do this and feel good the entire type will take the right method. Among the keys to success are metabolism of your body and burning of fat. There are a few key elements to doing this successfully. From the start, focus on water weight.
It’s important to get in the habit of drinking plenty of water, probably more than you have been drinking in the past. The key word here is “habit.” You may find that you have to drink some water even when you don’t really feel thirsty or think that you want to. The interesting thing about this is that your body will get into a habit as well – eliminating water on a regular basis as you drink more of it.
Your body will also use this added moisture to get rid of toxins and built-up matter in your system, which may also account for a few pounds of additional weight. For example, one famous case involved a large man who died. When an autopsy was performed the doctors found 20+ pounds of digested and partly digested food material in his system!
It’s also important to take in a lot of fiber in the diet, so that the body will digest and metabolize the food more efficiently. Fresh fruits are good for this purpose, as are some of the more common fiber foods like whole grains and beans. Bread is not necessarily the best source for this fiber however. Some fiber/weight loss programs suggest 40 or 50 grams of new fiber from the first day.
Along with these two rather small changes, it may also help to start some sort of mild exercise on the first day and keep it up through seven consecutive days. Even a few minutes of walking in combination with the extra water and fiber should produce noticeable weight loss.
There are a few things to stay away from when you want to drop a couple of pounds immediately. As you drink additional water, eat a little more fiber and take a daily walk, you should also avoid a few specific types of food and liquid. For one thing, you should stop drinking high-sugar, high-carbonation soft drinks. When you start craving that usual “soda pop” stop yourself and choose another type of drink, such as water with a fruit added (lime, lemon).
You will also need to eat a good breakfast on the first day and keep this up throughout the week. You’ll need the calories for your walk and the rest of the day’s activities. This can be a good time to get an additional glass of water and some new fiber. Some of the lighter cereals and fresh fruits will be good for breakfast.
Very small amounts of your “usual” food are OK, but dairy products and red meat should be severely limited. It will also be a good idea to drink little or no coffee or tea, as these tend to lead to dehydration. If you continue to eat the same diet, dehydration will actually add weight! Don’t just stop eating. Eat the right foods and keep yourself active. You should lose some weight in a matter of days.
