Why is education so important?

Education is important for a lot of reasons. In many cities education has been made compulsory so that every child has access to studying and some form of basic education. This kind of education should be made compulsory to all children at least up to a certain age so that they have access to the better things of life. Education not only helps in crating an all round awareness for the child but also makes sure that the child has a complete understanding of how society functions and the intricacies of a lot of things that happen in everyday life.

There are several different levels of education which can be experienced by a child beginning from nursery classes and going all the way up to a university degree. However not every individual has access to so much education throughout their lifetime and in such instances it becomes necessary to make it all accessible to them. Governments of most countries, especially the developing nations are constantly trying to make sure that some kind of primary education is made available to all children irrespective of their social positioning or financial condition.

There are several different modes of learning present in children and when education is imparted these modes of learning are worked upon. It is difficult for human beings to function without thriving for constant knowledge of something. While it is true that pre historic man could function without education, it is also true that as civilization progressed human beings developed this thirst for knowledge and began to satiate it as much as possible and that is how different cultures developed their own process of imparting education.

An individual can be given education in several different ways. There are auditory modes of teaching, visual modes and nowadays even technology is used to appeal to the senses of a student. Teachers can come up with different ways of reaching out to a student and that is exactly why education is important. It is a unique way of reaching out to the masses that might otherwise remain inaccessible due to various factors. Most importantly education makes us conscious and aware of what is going on around us so that we develop a sense of understanding of what is right and what is wrong. Education is an important factor in letting children distinguish between good and bad as well and prepares people for what is in store in the future.

The teacher has a very important role in determining the purpose of education. It is necessary to make sure that a teacher is well equipped to take on the role of imparting education to young minds who can easily be influenced into doing a lot of things. Education is not just important it is vital to ensure that children are kept safe and protected and also to make sure that they can harness their potential into doing something good for the world at large. Education helps an individual realize his potential to make sure that he can use it for something valuable and important.
